Since childhood i had been hearing the word making difference in people's life. I had a very limited scope of my understanding. It started with the idea of giving donation to people who need money. As a kid I did some donation of my old clothes, some toys, books etc.. and here all i use to be satisfied with what i had done.
Gradually as i grew up and after completing college and starting job.. the level of donation a bit changed. I never realized what actually i am making difference in people.. or even in my dearones..
Making difference doesnt mean just giving away something that you see one might be needing, a true sense of making difference is that "when someone who really needs and u are the one who gave it" that's the time you really made difference in someones life.
Let me explain with an example. Say a cancer patient who is urging for love and care and not much worried about how much is he going to live. And in such situation, we normally see that the person is in need of money for his treatement and put all efforts to collect money and save a life. Certainly that's not bad.. however, what will really satisfy that person who is urging for Love and Care. Just think along with collecting money, you would have spent some time with the person, shower your care and spreaded some words of love. How would that person feel??? Have you even thought about it? have you even felt it?
Another most common thing that we all do after becoming elder and start earning.. We start fullfulling all the materialistic needs for our parents.. We will keep saying that you have become old and you cant do this and that, you just rest. We will arrange for all monetory things.. etc... Have you ever thought do they really like to just sit ideal? Do they really feel good about that? What life are we giving to our parents back?
Just think if we can give back those moments when they wanted to do something and didnt do just because they had other priorities.. like world tour or persuing some of their hobbies or learning something. There is no age bar for anything. Just imagine what if they get those moments and they feel fully satisfied with what they have done.
I truely got that difference of making difference... its simply just like "filling the gap"
If i could make someone smile when he really needs it, if could give my parent the power to live the life the way they want, if could enable the people to do unexpected things in their life and make them fully satisfied with it.. then is where i would have really made difference in people's life.
